Zach Staton

Sports Anchor/Reporter

Zach Staton joined WDAY as a sports reporter in 2018. He grew up in Salem, Virginia loving any sport he could play or watch. Staton graduated from Bridgewater College with a degree in Communication Studies before getting his Master's in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a Sports Communication Emphasis from Syracuse University.

In his time at WDAY, Staton has covered North Dakota State football and basketball, University of North Dakota football and hockey, and provided play-by-play for all of WDAY's high school state tournament broadcasts.

Away from sports, Staton enjoys spending time with his wife, Logan, and dog, Daisy. He also enjoys running, collecting basketball shoes (big fan of Jordans), and traveling around North Dakota and Minnesota.
