Wintery conditions expected to bring hazardous roads to Grand Forks region Thursday afternoon

Winter weather is expected to impact Grand Forks around 3 p.m., and will likely impact the evening commute.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota, and will last from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.

During that time, mixed precipitation, a light glaze of ice and up to an inch of snow are expected to result in slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the evening commute.

The winter weather will move east throughout the day, and is expected to impact Devils Lake around noon, Grand Forks around 3 p.m., and Bemidji around 6 p.m.
