GRAND FORKS - The Grand Forks community said goodbye to a local hero. Hundreds of law enforcement officers, well-known faces, and community members flooded into St. Michael's Church in downtown Grand Forks to pay their final respects to longtime sheriff Dan Hill. The 73-year-old lost his battle with lung cancer last week. “Dan was the face of law enforcement,” East Grand Forks Police Chief Mike Hedlund said.

GRAND FORKS - An armed gunman remains on the loose after a stickup at a gas station. Police are busy trying to find him, along with several other armed robbers who remain on the run. The manhunt continued today for the man police say held up the Cenex station on South Washington in front of the Grand Cities Mall. “There was a firearm displayed,” said Lt. All the money goes toward providing opportunities for the athletes.

WDAY News was on scene just minutes after a crash at the intersection of South Washington and 32nd Avenue South. It happened around 4:45 PM. An SUV and pickup collided, causing the pickup to land on its side.
