A flask is more than a flask. A flask is the starting point for a whole Knights-of-the-Round Table place-setting, with regal green tones. It’s donut or duck-shaped, with a decorative stopper. Joel McKinnon Miller handled Fox’s cancellation of his television show pretty well. He was disappointed, he said, but how many shows get a five-year run? You don’t do these things forever — that’s the life of an actor. “I was more practical about it,” said the actor who plays Norm Scully on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” So he hosted his son for a home-cooked meal and ignored his cellphone for a few hours. Knapp, now a senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia when he was in elementary school. It was a battle that lasted more than a year and left him weak and underweight at 56 pounds.
