Another SHG for Forbort
Former UND defenseman Derek Forbort of the Boston Bruins scored his second shorthanded goal of the season this week, sending him into rare company. Since 1992-93, only three other Bruin defensemen have scored multiple shorthanded goals in a season. They are Zdeno Chara in 2016-17, Ray Bourque in 1995-96 and 1993-94, and Don Sweeney in 1993-94.

UND's travel roster
The NCHC has a 23-player travel roster limit for league games, which means UND has to leave four players at home on every league road trip. With a healthy team outside of forward Dane Montgomery, there were difficult choices this time around. UND ended up not bringing Montgomery, forward Jackson Kunz, defenseman Brent Johnson and goalie Kaleb Johnson.

Looker on the call
Radio play-by-play announcer Tim Hennessy did not make the trip to Oxford, Ohio, due to illness. Darrin Looker, who usually handles color commentary on the road, will do play-by-play this weekend.
The last time Hennessy missed a game on the mic was the 2011 NCAA Frozen Four. Looker also filled in that time.
Looker served as the radio play-by-play announcer for the UND women's hockey team. During home games, he is the public address announcer.
