With that rich yellow hue, it had to be lemon, right? Nope.
This pie is a looker, but its highlight was its bold flavors, straight from the garden.
In a sense, it's a traditional cream pie with plenty of bananas stuffed inside — three to four of them thinly sliced, according to the recipe.
Check out this flavorful pie topped with a fluffy meringue.
Raddatz, of Grafton, used Oreo cookies to create a dark and flavorful crust, then built upward from there – not unlike the actual Eiffel Tower’s construction.
The pie, which she titled “Strawberry Rhubarb Pie with Crumble Topping,” combined a traditional crust with the crumbled topping, surrounding the fruiting insides. On top were a number of decorative – and tasty – adornments.

But can apple pies really be all that much different? Lunseth apparently thinks so.
Judges of the tournament universally decided this pie would be a great treat around Christmas.
Dufault uses lard in the crust but butter in the pie’s crumble topping. It provided a tasty contrast in the pie’s outer surfaces; meanwhile, tucked neatly inside was a sweet and cinnamony apple filling.
