The Lake Superior pack ice jumbled against the shore at the Apostle Islands mainland sea caves east of Cornucopia broke up in just a few hours on Sunday morning, as seen from a webcam on the cliffs above. The pack was fairly solid at 9 a.m., but had split apart by 11 a.m. and was just broken chunks of ice by 1 p.m. As of Tuesday morning, there was just open water.
