Teach a kid to hunt small game during Minnesota's Take a Kid Hunting Weekend

Benny Huebner, 14, of Grand Forks, shot his first buck just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, a few miles south of Grand Forks during North Dakota's youth deer season. This is Huebner's first year deer hunting, and he shot the 8-point buck with a .30-06 rifle at a distance of about 50 yards, said his mom, Kjersten, who submitted the photo. Benny is in the 9th grade at Red River High School in Grand Forks. Click on the image to see the complete photo.
