MADISON, Wis. -- UND found out Sunday that the University of Wisconsin isn't so easy to score on after all.
One day after becoming the first team to score more than two goals on the Badgers in the span of a year, UND was slowed down in a 4-1 loss to the Badgers in the series finale as the top-five teams split the weekend series.
Wisconsin scored four consecutive goals after UND took an early lead to maintain a comfortable lead on UND for second place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association standings.
UND fell to 13-5-2 overall and 10-4-2 in league play. Wisconsin improved to 17-3-2 overall and 13-3-2 in the WCHA.
It wasn't easy for UND to score against the Badgers, who have the WCHA's best defensive mark, allowing just 1.09 goals per game.

UND, which outshot Wisconsin 30-26, got off to a fast start when captain Michelle Karvinen snapped a wrist shot past Badger freshman goalie Ann-Renee Desbiens just 3:55 into the game.
But Wisconsin rebounded in the second. Blayre Turnbull snapped a shot five-hole on Shelby Amsley-Benzie at 3:33 to tie the game. Then, Katy Josephs found a rebound to score the eventual game-winner on a delayed penalty.
The Badgers added to their lead when Sarah Nurse scored on a shorthanded breakaway late in the second period. Turnbull iced it with an empty-net goal.
UND is at home for its next six games -- series against St. Cloud State, Bemidji State and Minnesota.
