GREELEY, Colo.-- UND was in danger of dropping three straight Big Sky Conference road games.
Megan Lauck did her part to make sure UND would return home with a win.
Lauck’s 23 points led UND past Northern Colorado 68-58 on Saturday. UND’s second-half perimeter shooting and timely free throws down the stretch played a big role in the win.
UND improved to 3-2 in the Big Sky and 11-6 overall, while Northern Colorado dropped to 2-3 and 8-8.
UND also received timely scoring from Siri Burck, who hit three second-half 3-pointers as North Dakota rallied from a seven-point deficit.

"A great effort tonight out of Megan Lauck and Siri Burck," UND head coach Travis Brewster said. "Leah Szabla gave us big moments in the second half and great free throw shooting form the team. Kelsey Knox gave us a great lift and Mia Loyd continues rolling out double-doubles from sheer effort. This was all attainable through our defensive effort tonight."
D'Shara Strange had 20 points and Stephanie Lee chipped in 17 for the host Bears.
Szabla finished with 14 points, while Burck ended with 11 as UND shot 39 percent and outrebounded the Bears 34-28. Loyd added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
UND connected on 31 of 34 free-throw attempts.
North Dakota hosts Idaho and Eastern Washington on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
