MAYVILLE, N.D. - Sabrina Rude and Marcisa McMillan each scored 24 points to lead Mayville State to a 102-74 win over Dakota State on Sunday in the semifinal round of the North Star Athletic Association tournament.
Hailey Longtin added 21 points for the Comets while Lisa Hoglo finished with 13.
Mayville will host the University of Jamestown on Tuesday night in the championship game.
Mayville is 23-3 and ranked No. 11 in the NAIA Division II poll while Jamestown is ranked No. 3 and is 26-2.
The teams split their regular-season meetings, each winning on the road by eight points. Regardless of the outcome of Tuesday’s game, both teams are expected to receive at-large bids to the NAIA Division II national tournament scheduled March 12-18 in Sioux City, Iowa.

Jamestown defeated Valley City State 75-66 in Sunday’s other semifinal game.
In the men’s NSAA tournament, Jamestown will host Dakota State tonight in the championship game.

- Women’s golf: For the second consecutive day, freshmen Alexis Guggisberg and Dani DelGreco paced UND at its spring-opening tournament in Arizona on Sunday. Guggisberg and DelGreco both carded a 79 in the final round of the Red Rocks Invitational being played just outside of Phoenix at the Oak Creek Country Club. Guggisberg was the top finisher for UND in the 36-hole event, placing in a tie for 52nd after a two-day total of 160 (+16). DelGreco was one stroke back in a tie for 59th at 161 (+17). Xavier won the meet with a 588; UND was 18th at 692.
- Women’s basketball: Northland Technical and Community College rolled past Vermilion Community College 78-37 on Sunday to win the NJCAA Region 13 tournament in Thief River Falls. Sarah Durand led Northland with 22 points. Jenna Lundon added 18. The Pioneers advance to the NJCAA Division III national tournament March 13-15 in Rochester, Minn.
