WILD: Pierre-Marc Bouchard is team's newest injury worry

CALGARY, Alberta -- Just as the Minnesota Wild were starting to get some of their depth back at forward, they could wind up playing without one of their top contributors again.

CALGARY, Alberta -- Just as the Minnesota Wild were starting to get some of their depth back at forward, they could wind up playing without one of their top contributors again.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard missed his second consecutive day of practice Friday with a lower-body injury sustained during Wednesday's loss to Vancouver. He is questionable for tonight's game against Calgary, but coach Mike Yeo didn't sound optimistic about having the left wing in the lineup.

"We'll see how he is tomorrow," Yeo said. "He felt pretty sore after the game."

If Bouchard can't play, Brad Staubitz would be back in the lineup. He skated on the Wild's fourth line Friday with Warren Peters and Colton Gillies. Minnesota would like to get Cal Clutterbuck playing with Darroll Powe and Kyle Brodziak, but injuries could delay that plan again.

Bouchard missed two games last month after breaking his nose on a hit from behind in Winnipeg, and Mikko Koivu missed three games after Bouchard returned. The Wild also got Devin Setoguchi back from a knee injury on Wednesday after playing without him since Dec. 10.

The Wild likely will have Clayton Stoner back on defense; he skated the past two days after missing two weeks with a strained groin.

No timetable for Latendresse: As the Wild prepare for the possibility of playing without Bouchard, they're still not sure when they might get Guillaume Latendresse back.

The forward has been out since Dec. 14 with post-concussion syndrome after missing

more than a month after his initial concussion. Yeo said the Wild don't have any sense yet about when Latendresse might return.

"There's not a whole lot of progress right now," Yeo said. "You just have to wait until he's feeling better and until he gets cleared. We'd really like to have him back, but if it's a groin or it's a knee, you have a target date. With this, we just have no idea."

That's a sobering reality for a team that has scored only 95 goals in 41 games; Latendresse is one of the team's purest goal scorers but has played only 16 games this season.
