According to odds posted at Caesars Palace, the NCHC has a good chance to win a fifth-straight NCAA title.

The UND men's hockey team started the season ranked just outside of the top 10 in the preseason USCHO poll.

The Fighting Hawks have climbed the rankings by posting a 21-3-3 record through 27 games -- and Vegas has been watching.

According to odds posted at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, UND is now the favorite to win the 2020 NCAA national championship.

UND's odds are 9/2. The next biggest favorites are Minnesota State-Mankato (5/1), Cornell (7/1), Boston College (8/1), Denver (9/1) and Minnesota Duluth (10/1).

Three of the top six are National Collegiate Hockey Conference teams. The league is looking for its fifth-straight NCAA national championship come the 2020 Frozen Four, which will be held in Detroit in April.

The Fighting Hawks host Denver this weekend at 7:37 p.m. Friday and 7:07 p.m. Saturday in Ralph Engelstad Arena in a matchup between two of the biggest favorites.

Of course, Vegas has blown it with college hockey odds before.

Last season, Orleans Hotel and Casino made UND big underdogs for its showdown against rival Minnesota in Las Vegas. UND ended up beating the Gophers 3-1 , which was not good for the Vegas sportsbook.

College hockey fans looking to win big money may notice the eye-popping 100/1 odds for Western Michigan, which has been on a roll since getting healthy. The Broncos are 7-1 in their last eight games, averaging an NCAA-best 5.50 goals per game during that span.
