Four area volleyball players were named to the North Dakota Class B all-state team.

Leading the way was Langdon-Munich-Edmore with two selections. The state runner-up Cardinals placed senior Lexis Olson and junior Morgan Freije on the team.

Also selected from the area were Thompson senior Kenzie Hughes and North Star junior Danielle Hagler.

Olson finished the year with 329 kills with a .309 kill efficiency. She also added 358 digs, 67 aces and 80 blocks. For her career, Olson has 802 kills, 224 blocks, 314 aces and 1,480 digs.

Freije finished the year with 254 kills and a .299 kill efficiency. She had 290 digs, 58 aces and 20 blocks. For her career, she has 919 kills, 691 digs, 226 aces and 118 blocks.

Hughes, who led the Tommies to a third-place finish at the state tournament, ended the season with 205 kills, 268 digs, 506 assists, 63 aces (94 percent serve percentage) and 21 blocks.

Hughes, who's 124-16 in her prep career, finished her career with 1,718 assists, 1,074 digs, 538 kills and 196 aces.

Hagler ended the year with 344 kills and a .308 kill efficiency. She added 274 digs, 32 blocks and 16 aces.
