The line made up for it in the series finale.
Olympian Monique Lamoureux-Kolls had a hat trick, Alyssa Wiebe scored twice and Olympian Jocelyne Lamoureux added three assists to help the Sioux grab a series split with a 5-1 victory over the No. 2 Terriers in Walter Brown Arena.
The Sioux threw 42 shots on goal Saturday and 75 for the weekend as they moved to 1-1 with a road series at No. 1 Wisconsin looming next weekend in Madison.
The Terriers won the series opener 4-1 behind three special teams goals, but the Sioux held them scoreless on eight power-play chances in the finale. The lone BU goal came with 6 minutes, 9 seconds left in the game.
Sioux goalie Steph Ney stopped 31 of 32 shots to get the victory, while her teammates peppered Boston University goalie Kerrin Sperry.
Lamoureux-Kolls gave the Sioux the lead with 35 seconds left in the opening frame, putting home a feed from Andrea Dalen for the team's first power-play goal of the season.
Midway through the second, Wiebe added to the lead with an even-strength goal, which was assisted by Josefine Jakobsen. Lamoureux-Kolls added another goal late in the second to make it 3-0, putting home a feed from her twin sister.
Wiebe scored her third goal of the season midway through the third to make it 4-0.
