MINNEAPOLIS -- Goals were tough to come by for the UND's men's and women's hockey teams on Friday.
As the Sioux men were being shutout in a 1-0 loss to Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y., the Sioux women were offensively stymied as well in a 3-0 defeat to the University of Minnesota.
Gophers goalie Noora Raty made 18 stops, while Sioux goalie Jorid Dagfinrud made 35 saves.
Minnesota's Laura May scored just 3 minutes, 58 seconds into the opening period for the game-winner.
Sarah Erickson, a Roseau, Minn., native, bumped the Gophers lead to 2-0 at 8:24 of the third period.
