UND women's basketball will start league play still searching for first win after falling 64-49 at Toledo

The Fighting Hawks couldn't overcome a 29.3 percent shooting performance and Julia Fleecs' foul trouble in a 64-49 loss at Savage Arena.

TOLEDO, Ohio -- The UND women's basketball team will enter Christmas break searching for the team's first win of the season.

The Fighting Hawks couldn't overcome a 29.3 percent shooting performance and Julia Fleecs' foul trouble in a 64-49 loss at Savage Arena.

UND, 0-6, will open Summit League play Jan. 2-3 against Kansas City in Grand Forks.

The Hawks were led by Juliet Gordon's 12 points and 10 rebounds. Fleecs, UND's leading scorer, was held to five points on 1-for-8 shooting and was held scoreless in the first half after sitting out most of the half in foul trouble.

Jaclyn Jarnot also finished in double figures for UND with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Quinesha Lockett led Toledo with 23 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the 3-point line.
