CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Lizzie Boeck scored 30 points and Katelin Oney added 21 as Northern Iowa cruised past UND 78-54 on Saturday night at the McLeod Center.
The loss dropped UND to 1-7, while Northern Iowa improved to 7-3.
It was UND's sixth straight loss.
"All-in-all, I thought we battled for 40 minutes," UND coach Gene Roebuck said in a postgame radio interview. "We got a little bit better today."
Northern Iowa led most of the way, holding 37-23 halftime lead. The Sioux did lead 14-9 with 10 minutes left in the first half after Megan Lauck hit a 3-pointer.

Northern Iowa hurt the Sioux inside as the Panthers scored 28 points in the paint.
"Obviously, we need a lot of work in the post," Roebuck said. "We did a decent job (defensively) on the perimeter."
UND shot 35 percent, while the Panthers ended at 48 percent. The Panthers also held a 39-33 rebounding advantage.
UND will play at Creighton on Monday. The Sioux won't play at home again until Jan. 10 against Western Kentucky. The Sioux are playing seven straight games on the road.
