UND linebacker Keelan Poole has been suspended indefinitely from the football program after he was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of cocaine and cocaine paraphernalia.
"We are aware of the situation involving Keelan Poole," UND football coach Bubba Schweigert said. "In cases like this, we have to allow the legal and university processes to play out before commenting any further."
Poole, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound sophomore, appeared in seven games last season as a reserve linebacker and special teams contributor. The Aurora, Colo., native totalled three tackles.
According to an affidavit filed in Northeast Central District Court, the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force received information that Poole had been receiving large amounts of marijuana in the mail.
Through a search of his residence last Thursday, police found a plate with a white substance and a straw with residue. The white substance tested positive for cocaine, according to the report.

The affidavit also states police found $3,655, a small amount of marijuana wax, 4-5 grams of marijuana and a digital scale box.
