First period
UND 1, Western Michigan 0 — Luke Bast (Nick Portz, Cooper Moore) 2:34. UND gets on the board on its first power play of the night. Moore sends a point shot to the slot, where Portz attempts to tip it. The puck deflects to Bast in the right circle and Bast hammers it past Western Michigan goalie Brandon Bussi. UND 3, Western Michigan 1 — Jason Polin (Tim Washe, Josh Passolt) 19:35 (pp). The Broncos convert on their first power-play chance of the game. Washe has the puck below the goal line and Cooper Moore is nearly able to poke it away, but Washe retains control and passes to Polin in the slot. Polin rifles a shot short side for his 14th goal of the season.
Second period
UND 4, Western Michigan 1 — Judd Caulfield (Louis Jamernik, Chris Jandric) 7:39 (sh). Jandric, along the halfwall, chips the puck out of the defensive zone on the penalty kill and sends Caulfield and Jamernik on a two-on-zero shorthanded rush. Caulfield gives it to Jamernik, who gives it right back to the Grand Forks native for his ninth goal of the season.

UND 5, Western Michigan 2 — Carson Albrecht (Mark Senden, Griffin Ness) 13:42. UND has a two-on-one rush and executes it perfectly. Senden, coming up the left side, feeds Albrecht, who one-times it past Bussi for his first goal in Ralph Engelstad Arena.
