The Minnesota Twins honored UND's national championship men's hockey team before their game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday at Target Field.
More than half of the team that beat Quinnipiac 5-1 in the national championship game in Tampa, Fla., last month was on hand for the event, which drew the ire of some local fans who are loyal to UND's biggest rival, the University of Minnesota.
Head coach Brad Berry, who became the first rookie coach to ever win a national championship, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Twins president Dave St. Peter helped set up the event. St. Peter is a UND graduate.
