The weekend couldn't have gone much better for UND hockey, and both the men and women were led by their anchors in net.

On the women's side, Shelby Amsley-Benzie posted a pair of shutouts on previously unbeaten Wisconsin, making 67 saves over the two games.

Not to be outdone, Cam Johnson asserted himself as the answer in net for the UND men. After a pair of 3-0 wins at Duluth, Johnson now has a scoreless streak of more than 218 minutes, the second-longest in program history.

Johnson stopped a combined 68 shots over the weekend, as the Fighting Hawks moved up to #2 in the U.S. College Hockey online poll. UND's 16 wins before the Christmas break are the program's most since 2002.

The UND women also moved up two spots to number seven after a win and a tie against the Badgers. UND has twice beaten the number one ranked team this season.

Meanwhile, UND hockey games will have a different voice to them in the future. Midco Sports Network's Dan Hammer has stepped down from his position and will return to KFGO radio in Fargo with his own afternoon radio show. Hammer will finish out this season as the play-by-play man for UND hockey.
