Kopp, 86, died Thursday. He was Red River's first football coach and spent his retirement years as UND football's equipment manager.

GRAND FORKS – For former UND standout Matt Waletzko, it’s time to rest and relax a bit, considering the grueling schedule the projected NFL Draft pick has endured the past few months.
Waletzko has been training in Phoenix since Dec. 1, while also taking part in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., and the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, but now the NFL Draft-hopeful returns to Grand Forks in preparation of Thursday's UND Pro Day.
