UND takes series: Two home runs staked North Dakota helped carry the Fighting Hawks to a 6-4 win over Southern Utah on Saturday. The Hawks captured the weekend Big Sky Conference series with the win.

The win marked the fifth consecutive league series win for the Fighting Hawks dating back to last season and kept UND alone in first place in the conference standings at 7-2. Overall, the Hawks improved to 21-19.

UND received a two-run homer from Taylor Nadler's in the fourth inning before Marina Marzolino's solo shot added an insurance run in the fifth.

Kaylin VanDomelen locked down her league-leading sixth save of the season.

VanDomelen started the game and threw the first two innings before she handed the ball over to Hannah Bergh in the third.

Hawks change schedule: North Dakota has shifted its upcoming schedule and will remain in Utah, heading to Weber State for a mid-week series. The three-game set was originally planned for Grand Forks next Friday and Saturday but will now be played at Wildcat Park on Tuesday and Wednesday. The series gets underway at 3 p.m.onl Tuesday with a doubleheader.

UND 's game at North Dakota State, scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed.
