Central outshot West Fargo Sheyenne 33-8.

East Grand Forks 5, Moorhead 1: Nicole Schlenk scored two goals to lead East Grand Forks to a road win over Moorhead on Tuesday.

Meghan Weber, Grace Beck and Tiffany Hanson also scored for the Green Wave.

Boys basketball

Shanley 53, GF Central 39: Despite a close first half, Fargo Shanley broke away to defeat the Central Knights in a home matchup Tuesday night.

Shanley's Cam Saville paced Central with 22 total points, while the Knights' Debyn Johnson, Jacob Ohnstad and Branson Delorme each earned 11 points.
Central hosts Red River on Thursday night in a cross-town rivalry match.
Senior High 73, Warren-A-O 42: East Grand Forks Senior High cruised to an easy road victory over Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Tuesday night.
Ahead by 17 points at the half, East Grand Forks sealed the game with strong points by Nathan Willet and Sam Votava.
Senior High will host Thief River Falls on Tuesday night.

Girls basketball

Sacred Heart 52, Climax-Fisher 25: The Sacred Heart girls basketball team handily defeated Climax-Fisher in a home matchup Tuesday night.
Ahead by 22 points at the end of the first half, the Eagles soared to victory thanks to strong offense by Jessica Remer (16) and Maddi Mitzel (11).
"We came out strong defensively in the first half, and were able to push the ball up the court," Sacred Heart coach JoAnn Remer said.
Sacred Heart hosts Warren-A-O on Monday night.

Thief River Falls downs Red River in OT: Thief River Falls defeated Grand Forks Red River 64-63 in a home basketball game Tuesday night.
The Prowlers' Tiahna Nicholson posted 26 points, while Red River players Jadyn Sondrol and Kenady Steffan kept the score close with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
"It was a really good close game throughout," Red River head coach Kent Ripplinger said. "We came up a bit short in the end."

The Roughriders will face Grand Forks Central in a cross-town rivalry match Thursday night.

Shanley shuts down GF Central: Fargo Shanley's girls basketball team downed Grand Forks Central at home by a wide 76-47 margin on Tuesday night.
Despite Grace Gaustad's 19 points, the Knights were unable to surpass the Deacons defense. Ciera Berg locked the Shanley win, leading her team with 16 points.

Prep wrestling

Davies drops GF Central 42-22: Fargo Davies bested Grand Forks Central Tuesday night in a home wrestling match.
The Knights' Alec Humble opened the match with an 8-4 win over Ty Weber in the 132-pound weight class, while Davies' David Fry bested Braydon Williams in a contentious 13-11 decision.
"We wrestled well against one of the better teams in the EDC," said Coach Jeff Welsh. "We lost three toss-up matches and that was the difference in the dual."
With a 3-2 EDC and 7-10 overall record, Central goes on the road Friday and Saturday to compete in the Fargo Metro Duals Tournament.
