UND downs Jacksonville: UND continued its road swing Tuesday night with a win at Jacksonville (Fla.), winning 25-17, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22.

The win evened UND’s record at 6-6. All but three of UND’s matches have been on the road.

UND coach Mark Pryor didn’t want to call it a must win but it was close to that.

“A win is a win, and this group really needed it,” said Pryor. “They are discovering that being successful isn’t a sometimes thing. It’s 24/7.”

After dropping a five-set match to North Florida 24 hours prior, UND rallied back in strong fashion by hitting .276 for the match and forcing 24 attack errors by the Dolphins (1-8) to pick up a four-set victory.

“We were much more disciplined tonight and that made the game easier for us,” said Pryor on his team, who only committed 13 attack errors on the night.

Kayla Williams continued to pace the Fighting Hawks on both sides of the ball, recording her eighth double-double of the season. The junior tallied 12 kills to lead the team while also adding 12 digs and a solo block.

Jordan Vail also reached double figures in kills with 10. The San Antonio native chipped in a trio of block assists along with a solo rejection to help the Hawks post five blocks on the night.
