Stephen-Argyle 61, Sacred Heart 44: Savannah Riopelle's 15 points led Stephen-Argyle to its home win over Sacred Heart on Tuesday night.

Riopelle was one of four Storm players in double figures.

Katelyn Rudolph led Sacred Heart with 12 points.

"Stephen-Argyle has a nice team; they out worked us and we couldn't stop their offense,'' Sacred Heart coach Joann Remer said.

GF Red River 81, West Fargo 45: Grand Forks placed four players in double figures in downing West Fargo on Tuesday night.

Kenady Steffan's 20 points led the Riders.

The Riders also connected on a season-best 10 three-pointers.

"We did great job sharing the ball tonight, ending with 21 assists," said Red River coach Kent Ripplinger. "Our defense was effective, forcing 32 turnovers. The girls did an outstanding job running the floor and finding open shots.''

Boys basketball

West Fargo 74, Red River 61: Joe Pistorius scored 21 points, Luke Lennon 20 and Abdi Sufi 19 to lead West Fargo past Grand Forks Red River on Tuesday night.

Conner Richardson led Red River with 18 points while Tommy Stephenson added 15.

"Our effort was great tonight," said Red River coach Kirby Krefting. "We outrebounded them (38-30) but just didn't capitalize on our possessions."

Sacred Heart 83, Badger-G-MR 59: The Sacred Heart duo of Jack Gerber and Jordan Tomkinson led the Eagles to a home victory Tuesday night.

Gerber and Tomkinson scored 17 and 27 points, respectively.

"We rebounded the ball well, especially Jordan and Jack," Sacred Heart coach Destry Sterkel said.

Sacred Heart improves to 15-1.

Boys hockey

Crookston 2, EGF Senior High 1, OT: The Crookston Pirates edged out East Grand Forks Senior High in overtime Tuesday night at the Civic Center.

Joey Doda's unassisted goal for Crookston in the first period was the sole game point until a last-minute shot by the Green Wave's Casey Kallock in the third tied the game 1-1.
Just 28 seconds into overtime, a shot by Pirates forward Ethan Magsam sealed the win for Crookston.

Prep wrestling

West Fargo 50, GF Central 17: The Central Knights wrestling team were dealt a tough home loss Tuesday night.

"We wrestled hard again, but came up short in several toss-up matches," Central coach Jeff Welsh said. "We need to turn the corner and win matches we are competitive in."

Central's Alec Humble earned a decisive 9-1 victory over West Fargo wrestler Aaron Magnell in the 132-pound weight class.
Central is now 5-3 in the EDC and 9-16 overall.

The Knights host Red River in a dual on Saturday night. Central will be inducting their 2018 Wrestling Hall of Fame class during the matchup, which includes the 1980 wrestling team as well as Kyle Williams, Marv Staus, Tom Hansen, Josh Roberts, Andrew Kennedy and Jeff Schatz.
WF Sheyenne, Valley City defeat Red River at triangular: The Red River boys wrestling team were handed back-to-back defeats by West Fargo Sheyenne and host Valley City on Tuesday night.
Sheyenne bested the Roughriders 42-27 and Valley City downed them 72-12.
