Former UND standout Jonathan Toews will be on the cover of the EA Sports video game NHL 11.

It's yet another honor for Toews, who won a gold medal with Team Canada in the Olympics and a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks. Toews was the leading scorer of both teams.

The 22-year-old is the second straight Blackhawk to be on the cover of the video game. Teammate Patrick Kane had the honor last year.

The game is slated to be released on Sept. 7.

"I am really excited to be on the cover of NHL 11," Toews said. "It's been an amazing year for me and the team, and it's nice to end it by being a part of a game I played growing up. The NHL games have always been great, so it's an honor for me to be a part of the EA Sports family."

EA Sports vice president of marketing Jordan Edelstein said: "Jonathan Toews is one of the best centers in the NHL today. He is a great ambassador for the sport of hockey and his impact on the sport this year is undeniable. It's great to have him in the EA SPORTS family."
