NORTH MANKATO, Minn. -- Thief River Falls second baseman Breanna Wienen singled up the middle in the bottom of the eighth inning to score pinch-runner Abigail Molstad for the winning run in a 4-3 victory over Le Sueur-Henderson in the Minnesota state Class AA quarterfinals at Caswell Park.

The No. 4 seed Prowlers (24-3) play No. 1 Norwood-Young America in the semifinals at 5 p.m. today.

Molstad had ran for Gabriella Steele, who singled with one out to start the rally.

Alexa Rogalla picked up the pitching win for the Prowlers. She struck out nine and also had two hits including a triple at the plate.
