Earlier this month, East Grand Forks Senior High gave up a 12-4 lead against Detroit Lakes by surrendering nine runs in the seventh inning.
So on Monday, when the Green Wave committed an error to start off the final inning against East Grand Forks Sacred Heart, Senior High coach Anthony Walsh was a little on edge.
This time, however, there was no need to fret.
Senior High recorded the next three outs in order to cap off a 12-1 win in five innings over Sacred Heart at Stauss Park.
"We came out and hit the ball hard," Walsh said. "We took advantage of some miscues on their end. Overall, I was pleased with how things went."

Senior High racked up 10 hits, including five for extra bases. The Wave, though, also took advantage of seven walks.
Green Wave sophomore pitcher Kade Spencer, on the other hand, peppered the zone. He went five innings, allowing just one hit. He walked one and struck out three.
"(Spencer) was around the zone a majority of the game and that's a big thing in high school baseball," Walsh said. "You have to make guys earn everything they get."
Oscar Ortiz recorded Sacred Heart's lone hit-a single to lead off the second inning. The Eagles got on the scoreboard in the fifth when Will Rohrich reached on an error and came around to score after stealing two bases.
Alex Mushitz led the Green Wave attack with three hits, including two doubles.
The Wave scored three in the first, one in the second and pushed the game out of reach with a six-run fourth.
Sacred Heart dropped to 1-9, while the Wave improved to 7-10 with their third-straight win.
