Apologies for the lack of updates in the last week as I’ve been out of town, but here are a few happenings that caught my eye.
No. 1: I’ve been told that St. Lawrence star goalie Kyle Hayton is in the process of trying to transfer to Wisconsin as a grad transfer.
Hayton has been one of college hockey’s most accomplished goalies over the last three years, pilling up outstanding numbers: .937, .935, .929 save percentages in his three years with the Saints.
Todd Milewski of the Wisconsin State Journal reported that Hayton hasn’t officially graduated yet, so there are still hoops to jump through to get it done, but it’s definitely in the works.
UND plays at Wisconsin in November.

Wisconsin’s team save percentage has been under .900 for each of the last three seasons, so the addition of Hayton could be huge for the Badgers.

UND landed a new recruit in Grand Forks native Jackson Kunz. He won’t be coming to campus for another four years, so it will be a while.
