UND recruit Jordan Kawaguchi had a historic BCHL playoff stat line, which meant that UND commit Nicholas Jones got overlooked a little bit.

Jones also had a great BCHL playoff run - and now earned the spotlight at the five-team Western Canada Cup.

The event, which features the champions from the BCHL, AJHL, SJHL and MJHL, as well as a host team, ended Sunday. Because Penticton was the host, Chilliwack, the BCHL’s runner up, took the BCHL spot. The top two teams advance to the RBC Cup, which is the national championship event for Junior A hockey in Canada.
