MINNEAPOLIS-Roseau's Kacie Borowicz was named the Minnesota Miss Basketball winner on Friday night.

The 5-foot-8 senior guard scored more than 3,000 points in her career and is the career scoring leader at Roseau High School.

The other finalists were Dlayla Chakolis of Hopkins, McKenna Hofschild of Prior Lake, Frannie Hottinger, Cretin-Derham Hall and Sara Scalia of Stillwater.

The award was presented at a banquet that is part of the All Star Weekend for the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association.

Borowicz has committed to play basketball at North Dakota next season.
