Grand Forks Red River's top three players are showing that they might just be the East Region's top three.
Samantha Anderson, Callie Ronkowski and Mimi Yunker all marched to the semifinals of the East Region singles tournament on Friday in Grand Forks.
Ronkowski and Yunker, the second and third seeds in the East, won both of their matches 6-0, 6-0, while Anderson had a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the second round and a 6-0, 6-0 win in the quarterfinals.
Those three combined for a 72-2 mark in games Friday. All of them clinched a spot in the state tournament, which will be held next weekend in Grand Forks.
