Grand Forks Herald's Top 10 players to watch in area high school girls hockey

The Herald selected 10 players from our coverage area for the 2021-22 girls high school hockey season.

The Herald selected 10 players from our coverage area for the 2021-22 girls high school hockey season.

Ashlyn Abrahamson, Devils Lake: The freshman forward was selected to the all-Eastern Dakota Conference team last season after leading the Firebirds in scoring with eight goals and five assists.

Kaylee Baker, Grand Forks: The junior goalie, who’s been the team’s top goalie since her eighth-grade season, finished last year with a 91.9 save percentage, a 15-10 record and a 2.42 goals-against average.

Emily Becker, Grand Forks: The senior forward was the third-leading scorer for the KnightRiders last season, finishing with 16 goals and 11 assists.

Kara Ellis, EGF Senior High: The junior led the Green Wave in scoring last season with four goals and six assists in 19 games.

Talya Hendrickson, Warroad: The sophomore forward, who’s committed to Franklin Pierce, was an all-state honorable mention last year after scoring 17 goals and adding 36 assists last year.

Kendra Nordick, Warroad: The junior goalie netted all-state honors last year after going 19-2 with a 93.6 save percentage and a 1.0 goals-against average.
