Polk County West, which improved to 2-5, will transition to the Section 8A 11-man playoffs after playing a regular season schedule of 9-man.
Eddie Bushaw also scored for PCW on an 8-yard run in the third quarter.
Wavra’s 14-yard TD catch in the fourth quarter, followed by a Kane Perrin run gave just enough cushion.
The Bears scored the final points of the game in the fourth quarter on a Hunter Churness 5-yard catch from Lavin. However, the 2-point conversion pass failed.
