FARGO - Maddie Makovsky pitched a complete game shutout to lead Grand Forks Red River passed Fargo South in Friday’s loser-out game of the East Region Tournament.
“I think the girls worked really hard,” said Roughrider coach Brooke Larson. “Maddie threw an amazing game. She was really throwing the ball well today.”
Makovsky received help from Meghan Ramage, who went 3-for-3 at the plate with a homerun and four RBI.
Morgan Coleman also added two RBI for the Roughriders, who will play Fargo North today at 11 a.m. for a state qualifying game.
