MINOT -- Minot used three Makaila Anderson goals to defeat the Grand Forks KnightRiders on Saturday.

The lone Grand Forks goal came from Peyton LeNoir, who was assisted by Mackenzie Olson.

"The first period was pretty even," said KnightRiders coach Darin Schumacher. "The second period they come out and worked a lot harder than we did. In the third, we got shot after shot but their goalie did a good job of not giving up any rebounds."

Grand Forks dropped to 7-6 and will play Fargo North on Tuesday.

EGF Senior High 8,

Park Rapids 0

PARK RAPIDS, Minn. -- Erica Eades scored three goals to lead EGF Senior High over Park Rapids, improving the Green Wave record to 20-1.

"Overall it was a really good effort," said Senior High coach Jim Scanlan. "Erica had a big game for us, but I thought everybody played well and contributed."

Haley Mack added two goals while Mak Langei, Alexa Mack and CoCo Piche added one goal apiece for the Green Wave.

Senior High will host Bemidji on Tuesday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

EGF Senior High 69,

Hibbing 43

Kelsey Schlenk scored 29 points, including her 1,000th career point, to lead East Grand Forks Senior High to a 69-43 win over Hibbing on Saturday at home.

"Kelsey has worked hard and spends a lot of her free time in the gym," said Senior High coach Emily Ruemmele. "She also has great teammates around her, which helps out."

Karlee Westem and Ellen Potter also scored in double figures for the Wave, posting 11 and 10 points, respectively.

"It was a big weekend for us and we beat a good team today," said Ruemmele. "We're still climbing."

Senior High moved to 7-6 and will play Thief River Falls on Tuesday.

BOYS HOCKEY

EGF Senior High 4,

Lake of the Woods 0

BAUDETTE, Minn. -- Eddie Eades scored a goal and had two assists to lead third-ranked East Grand Forks Senior High over Lake of the Woods on Saturday.

Brandon Loven and Dixon Bowen each added a goal and an assist for the Wave.

"We made some good plays in the first period and played a good road game," said Senior High coach Tyler Palmiscno. "Now we've got to get ready for Thief River Falls."

Tanner Tweten scored the other Green Wave goal.

Senior High will play at Thief River Falls on Tuesday.
