Cole Kirchoffner scored at 34 minutes of the first half to lift Grand Forks Central to a win over Fargo North on Friday in the season opener at Cushman Field.

Jayden Kramer added two assists for the Knights, while Tarek Paranica and Hartrick Tarr scored goals.
North was led by a pair of goals by Brady Huffman.
"Back and forth game," Central coach George DuBois said. "It was odd with five goals in the first half. You expect the same in the second half, but things leveled out. It was more of a defensive second half to try to withstand their pressure and maintain the lead."
Central plays Bismarck St. Mary's and Minot in the East-West Crossover in Jamestown today.
