FARGO - Grant Johnson notched two goals and an assist to lead Grand Forks Central to a road win over Fargo South/Shanley on Friday.
The Knights received other goals from Nick Lund, Zach Murphy, Tate Steffan, and Cody Aarvig.
Lund, Wyatt Eagleson and Collin Caulfield each dished out two assists for Central.

Central improves to 4-2 in conference play and 6-4 overall.

Sacred Heart 39
HALLOCK, Minn. - Trent Jerome scored 23 points while Dylan Olsonawski added 13 as Kittson County Central downed East Grand Forks Sacred Heart on Friday night.
KCC led 28-14 at the half.
“We started out well in the first five minutes,” said Sacred Heart coach Destry Sterkel. “We stopped doing what was working. They took us out of our offense. In the second half, we played with them and cut the lead to eight.
“We also had a couple of injuries; one kid broke a finger and one broke his nose. But they played through it.”

Nick Bergum led Sacred Heart, 5-7, with 14 points.
West Fargo 68,

WEST FARGO –– Senior forward Creighton Pfau scored 23 points in West Fargo’s win over Red River on Friday night.
Going into the second half, Red River trailed by eight points.
“We had too many unforced turnovers, which lead to too many big runs for them,” said Grand Forks Red River coach Kirby Krefting.
Austin Slaughter scored 13 points for the Roughriders, while Braedan Hanson added 12.
Grand Forks Red River, 5-4, goes on the road again next Thursday for a matchup against Devils Lake.

WEST FARGO - West Fargo Sheyenne placed four players in double figures in beating visiting Grand Forks Central on Friday night.
The Mustangs were led by Chase Erickson’s 19 points.
“We hung in there for the first six or seven minutes but then they went on a huge run,” said Central coach Dan Carlson. “We turned the ball over a lot during their run.”
Adam Grove led the Knights with nine points. Central dropped to 0-5.
The Knights host Thief River Falls on Monday night.

WF Sheyenne 67
Lauren Dub scored 22 points to lead Grand Forks Central over West Fargo Sheyenne 70-67 at home on Friday.
Desi Hanson and Liz Dub also added 12 points for the Knights, who improves to 2-4 overall. West Fargo Sheyenne was led by Kierra Freih, who scored a team-high 19 points.
“I give credit to Sheyenne,” said Central coach D.J. Burris. “They came in and outworked us for a lot of the game. At times, we played well but other times we played on our heels.”

Prep wrestling: Grand Forks Red River’s Malek Larimer fell to Wahpeton’s Aaron Deike in the semifinals of the 160-pound division at the Bismarck Rotary on Friday. Deike took an 8-5 to reach today’s championship round. Pierre, S.D., leads the meet with 206 points. Aberdeen, S.D., is second with 162.5 points. Grand Forks Red River is in 23rd place while Grand Forks Central is in 26th.
