Outdoors events remain few and far between as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, but a few events are beginning to trickle in across the region. Park vehicle passes are required for all events at North Dakota and Minnesota state parks. Vehicle passes are $7 daily and $35 annually in both states.

  • Aug. 1-2: Coon 'n Crockett Muzzleloaders Blackpowder Match, East Grand Forks Rod and Gun Club range, 12923 480th St. NW, East Grand Forks.   • Aug. 15: Fertile Conservation Club Bowhunter 3-D Shoot, Agassiz Environmental Learning Center and Sand Hill River Recreation Area, 400 Summit Ave. SW., Fertile, Minn.   • Aug. 22: Lake Bronson Adventure Race, 9 a.m., Lake Bronson State Park, Minn. Two- or three-person teams will compete in a 2- to 3-hour race consisting of canoeing (0-1.5 miles), biking (5 to 10 miles) and trekking (2 to 4 miles). Registration: $75 per team through June 30, $100 per team through July 31 and $125 after July 31; limited to 40 teams. Registration will close at 11 p.m. July 19 or once the race is full.
