Grants available for N.D. high school trapshooting programs
North Dakota clubs or communities interested in receiving a grant to support their high school trapshooting team must have the application in before April 1, the North Dakota Game and Fish Department said in a reminder.
Existing teams that have received a grant in the past are not eligible.
The grants are designed to support the North Dakota High School Clay Target League, said Marty Egeland, education section leader for Game and Fish in Bismarck.
"Game and Fish offers a grant option of up to $1,000 to teams that have never received a grant," Egeland said. "Funds can be used to purchase gear needed for the team, such as eye and hearing protection, vests, shell bags and magnetic barrel rests."
Interested applicants can print out the high school trap league grant application online by going to the Game and Fish website at gf.nd.gov.
