Gabby Fischer of Central High School earned top female average honors in the 2018 spring season of the North Dakota High School Clay Target League. Fischer scored a season average of 23.3 out of a possible 25 targets to earn top female honors.
The spring season wrapped up May 26.
Kyle Kempel of Oak Grove Lutheran High School in Fargo took home top individual honors with a season average of 24.4. Conner Carriere of Grafton High School was third with 24.2, and Hunter Deziel of Red River placed eighth with an average score of 23.9 to finish in the top 10.
Kempel, senior at Oak Grove, led the field to earn the trophy for the highest overall average in the league and also will bring home the award for top male average overall.
Overall, 42 athletes and 14 teams will take home individual and team awards.
Upon completion of the spring league, all student athletes are invited to participate in individual and team competitions at the 2018 state tournament, set for June 16-17 at The Shooting Park in Horace, N.D.
