Events

Park vehicle passes are required for all events at North Dakota and Minnesota state parks. Vehicle passes are $7 daily and $35 annually in both states.

  • Oct. 2: “Itasca’s Mysteries in History: The Itasca Biological Station,” 10 to 11 a.m., Itasca State Park, Minn. Meet at the new Biome Center. Info: (218) 699-7251.

  • Oct. 12: Fall Luminary Walk, 7 to 9 p.m., Turtle River State Park, 3084 Park Ave., Arvilla, ND. Hike luminary-lit trails at your own pace, and meet at Woodland Lodge. Refreshments will be available, but vehicle passes are required to enter the park. Info: (701) 795-3180.

  • Oct. 18: Science in Nature: “Minnesota’s Natural History -- Pretty good, not bad or just different?” 1 to 2 p.m., Itasca State Park, Minn.
