Outdoors events remain few and far between as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, but a few more events are beginning to trickle in across the region.     • Feb. 27: Northwest Angle Edge Riders 20th Anniversary Snow Rally, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunset Lodge on Oak Island of Lake of the Woods in Minnesota’s Northwest Angle.     • Feb. 27: Candlelight Ski and Owl Prowl, 6 to 9:30 p.m., Rydell National Wildlife Refuge, 17788 349th St. SE, Erskine, MN. All five trails will be open for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, and the Church Lake, Rice Lake and Round Lake trails will be groomed and lit. Two owl calling stations will be set up where the calls of several owl species will be projected into the woods to try and generate a response. Visitor Center will be closed because of the ongoing pandemic, snacks and beverages will not be available and participants will have to bring their own equipment. Visitors also should bring masks, which are required on all national wildlife refuges when social distancing is not possible. Hosted by the Friends of Rydell and Glacial Ridge Refuges Association.
