North Dakota pronghorn hunters have 74% success in 2019, Game and Fish Department says

Game and Fish issued pronghorn 1,324 licenses -- 877 lottery and 447 gratis -- in 2019, and 1,167 hunters shot 859 pronghorn, consisting of 786 bucks, 59 does and 14 fawns. Each hunter spent an average of 2.7 days afield.

North Dakota pronghorn hunters had 74% success in 2019, the Game and Fish Department said Monday in reporting results from last year's pronghorn season.

Game and Fish issued 1,324 licenses -- 877 lottery and 447 gratis -- in 2019, and 1,167 hunters shot 859 pronghorn, consisting of 786 bucks, 59 does and 14 fawns. Each hunter spent an average of 2.7 days afield.

Game and Fish will determine the 2020 pronghorn hunting season in July.
