North Dakota Game and Fish closes river otter trapping season after reaching quota of 20

Only North Dakota residents were eligible to participate, with a season limit of one otter per trapper.

North Dakota’s river otter trapping season is closed immediately, the Game and Fish Department announced Monday morning. The statewide season’s predetermined harvest limit of 20 has been reached, which prompted the closure, the department said.

Only North Dakota residents were eligible to participate, with a season limit of one otter per trapper.
