Boathouse on the Red in Grand Forks is opening for the season Saturday, Aug. 6

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 8 p.m. Sundays.

GRAND FORKS – After several months of high water and construction delays, the Boathouse on the Red on the Red River in Grand Forks is open and ready for canoeists, kayakers and stand-up paddlers.

The much-anticipated, long-delayed season opener is Saturday, Aug. 6. According to the Ground Up Adventures website, the rental fee is $15 for adults and $10 for youth paddlers. UND students can paddle for $10 if they present their student ID at time of rental.

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 8 p.m. Sundays.
