CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is expected to miss two weeks with a shoulder injury suffered during Tuesday night's 3-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues.
Toews, a former UND player, was injured when he was checked hard by the Blues' Matt D'Agostini, slamming his right shoulder into the boards.
"We're looking at two weeks," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said after Wednesday's practice. "He's feeling OK today."
The Hawks are scheduled to play seven games over the next two weeks.
Toews is Chicago's second-leading scorer with 33 points, including 15 goals. Chicago has struggled with injuries this season and only recently welcomed back Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane.
