UND women's basketball coach Mallory Bernhard's new contract will be for three years and start at $155,000 base salary, according to a contract obtained by the Herald late Thursday night through an open records request.

The contract begins May 1, 2021, and extends through April 30, 2024.

Bernhard will make $160,000 base salary in her second year and $165,000 in her third season.

The contract lists 13 different bonus opportunities, led by $5,000 bonuses for a conference regular season championship or co-championship and for winning national coach of the year by a number of different organizations.

The contract's salary is similar to former UND coach Travis Brewster, who was fired by UND in March of 2020. Brewster, who had been head coach at UND for eight seasons, was making roughly $162,000.
